Mux

A multiplexer: routes one of several inputs through to a single output, chosen by knob or CV. A variable-way signal switch — set it for anywhere from 2 to 8 sources — for selecting between voices, A/B-ing signal paths, or stepping through inputs under modulation. Its mirror is Demux (one input → many outputs).

Controls

• Ways — how many inputs are exposed, from 2 to 8. The Select range and the visible input jacks follow this count; cables on hidden inputs are dropped.
• Select — picks which input reaches the output, shown as channel 1 through N.

Inputs & outputs

• In 1–8 — the candidate signals; only the first Ways of them are live. Patch audio or CV — the chosen one passes straight through, unscaled.
• Sel — control voltage that takes over from Select whenever it carries a voltage. The index is the floor of that voltage, so just above 0V picks input 1, 1V picks 2, and so on, clamped to the available inputs.
• Out — the selected input.

Tips

• Feed Sel from a stepped sequencer or staircase LFO to cycle through sources for rhythmic, round-robin signal switching.
• Because the index is the floor of the voltage, a slow ramp into Sel walks cleanly up the inputs one at a time.
