Scale & Offset

Multiplies a signal by an adjustable amount and adds a fixed offset. A small but essential utility for trimming levels, biasing CV, or shaping a modulation source before it reaches its destination.

Controls

  • Scale — how much the input is multiplied, from 0 (silence) through 1 (unity) up to 2 (double). Use it to attenuate or boost a signal.
  • Offset — a steady voltage added after scaling; shifts the whole signal up or down to re-centre a modulator or add bias.

Inputs & outputs

  • In — the signal to scale; audio or CV both work.
  • CV — modulates the scale amount on the fly, adding up to ±1 to the Scale knob; the result is clamped to the 02 range.
  • Out — the scaled, offset signal.

Tips

  • Set Scale to 0 and dial Offset to use the module as a constant voltage source.
  • Patch an envelope or LFO into CV for dynamic, amplitude-style modulation of whatever passes through In.
