Sampler X8
Eight independent one-shot sample voices in one compact strip, summed to a stereo mix. Load a sample into each channel, fire it from a trigger, and set its level, pan, and mute — ideal for drum kits, hits, and triggered one-shots driven from a sequencer or trigger sequencer.
Controls
- Sample 1–8 — click a channel's slot to load a sample from your library; that voice plays it back at its native rate.
- Volume 1–8 — level of each voice in the mix; fully down silences it.
- Pan 1–8 — places each voice across the stereo field, from hard left to hard right.
- Mute 1–8 — drops a channel out of the mix without stopping its trigger or losing its sample.
Inputs & outputs
- Trigger 1–8 — a rising edge restarts that channel's sample from the beginning and plays it once; there's no loop. Patch a clock, gate sequencer, or the Glitch Sequencer here.
- Mix L / R — the stereo sum of every unmuted voice.
Tips
- Retriggering a voice restarts it instantly from the top, so fast triggers give stutter and machine-gun rolls.
- Each voice plays at its sample's native rate — pick already-tuned hits, since there's no pitch control here.
- An activity LED beside each channel lights while that voice is sounding — handy for spotting which trigger is firing.
