Record

Captures audio straight off the patch into a reusable sample and a downloadable WAV. Drop it at the end of a chain to bounce a loop, freeze a happy accident, or build up your own sample library from sounds you make in the rack.

How it works

Recording is level-controlled: it runs whenever the Rec toggle is on or the REC gate is high. Feed a sustained gate spanning the section you want — a clock-divided gate held high for a few bars captures exactly that span — and the take stops the moment the gate falls. A brief per-beat trigger is too short to keep and gets discarded, so reach for a held gate, not a one-shot pulse. Finished takes are auto-saved to your sample library and offered as a WAV download; nothing is summed back into the master, so the rack keeps playing while you capture.

Controls

  • Rec — arms capture manually; flip to ● REC to start, back to Idle to stop and save the take.

Inputs & outputs

  • In L / In R — the stereo signal to record. Leave In R unpatched and it normals to In L, recording a centered mono take.
  • REC — gate input; while it's high, recording is armed. Hands-free, clock-synced capture without touching the toggle.

Tips

  • Patch a clock-divided gate into REC to grab a clean, on-the-grid loop you can drop straight back into a sampler.
  • Multiple Record modules capture independently — bounce different sends of the same patch at once.
