Debug

A value monitor for patch-building. Patch any signal through it and the panel shows you exactly what's on the wire — a big live readout plus a scrolling history of where the value has been. The signal passes straight through untouched, so you can leave it inline anywhere without changing your sound.

How it works

Debug reads the voltage at its input every sample and reports it to the panel, then copies that same value to its output unchanged — it's a wire-tap, not an effect. The display covers a wide ±100.00 range (far beyond the usual ±5/±10 V) so even hot or unusual signals stay on-scale and legible, and the readout is coloured by sign so you can see polarity at a glance.

Inputs & outputs

  • In — the signal to inspect; audio, CV, gates, anything on the bus.
  • Out — an exact, unmodified copy of In, so Debug can sit inline between

two modules without altering the patch.

Tips

  • Drop it on an LFO, envelope, or sequencer output to confirm the value and

range a modulation source is actually producing before you patch it onward.

  • Watch the scrolling history to catch intermittent spikes or drift you'd miss

in a single instantaneous number.

  • Because the output is a clean passthrough, you can leave Debug permanently

inline on a suspect cable and just glance at it when something sounds off.
